Google just wowed a lot of us with the Google I/O 2015 keynote, and they promised to release the first Developer Preview of Android M to the public, and it is now available.
Before we get to that, though, Google has already made the Android M preview available for you early adapters who just can’t wait to get a look at everything that was just announced. As promised, the Android M preview supports the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and the Android TV Nexus Player.
As full factory images, installing any of these Android M previews will wipe your device’s data (but you power users already knew that) so make sure your backups are in order before proceeding. Visiting the source link below will take you to the download page for Android M images for each of those supported Nexus devices, along with providing you with all the links to installation instructions you’ll need.
And if you plan on doing some real dev work, and not just poking your nose around to check out the changes from a user perspective, you can also access the Android M preview SDK and documentation.
As a preview release, be prepared for some rough edges, but if you’re up for it, the next version of Android is here for you to explore. Download it from here and flash it.
