Turns out, Yesterdays Leak was accurate. The Latest Version of Android, Android L has been Named as Android 5.0 Lollipop by Google. Google First Previewed Android L back at Google I/O. Android 5.0 Lollipop is a big release for Google and it has some major design changes.
Google Teased us quite a lot yesterday, and then the Leak that showed the Lollipop Debug icon sorta confirmed it, but still nothing was official; but now we know for sure. We can say. Android Lollipop has a lot of things right. It has a lot of Great Features and it is filled with Awesomeness. The Major thing about Android Lollipop is Material Design, the Design Language by Google that is meant to unify the Android Experience across devices.
Google is promising improved battery life, a much smoother experience, bolder graphics for multimedia applications, improved security, support for multiple users on a single device, support for 15 new languages, improved tap and pay, and much more. Along with that announcement Google also unveiled the Brand New Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 both running the latest Android Lollipop.
It will be available on the Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10 and Google Play edition devices in the coming weeks.
