Yup you read the Heading correctly. SanDisk has suprised us all by unveiling a massive 512GB SD Card. It costs a whopping $800 and it will hold everything you need. SanDisk’s 512GB Card is currently the highest capacity SD card available.
This is mainly targeted at the people who record in 4K and try to do fancy stuff with their DSLR. SanDisk puts it as,
The new offering is designed to meet the demands of industry professionals who require the most advanced gear available for shooting 4K Ultra High Definition (3,840×2,160p) video, Full HD video (1,920×1,080) and high-speed burst mode photography.”
This 512GB Extreme Pro SDXC cardis pretty fast and it will transfer files at 95MB/s and it will allow you to take continuous bursts and lengthy 4K videos. The card is also Temperature Proof, Water Proof, Shock Proof and X-Ray proof. Users can also download the RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software to recover any images accidentally deleted.
SanDisk didn’t specify when the new card would hit the retail market, but we think it will land soon. The Future is Bright.
