I reported about the Galaxy S7 sometime back with the rumored codename “Project Lucky” and it’s rumored specifications. Now we are getting to see the device in renders.
According to the latest leaks, there will be 2 versions – The Galaxy S7 which will be a 5.1″ device and the Galaxy S7 Plus which will be a 6″ device.
As you see in the renders, the alleged Galaxy S7 looks a lot like the Galaxy S6. The sides seem more rounded, which plays nice with the 2.5D glass on the front and the back. The Home button seems to be a square shaped button as well. We also see a opening on top, which I assume could be the IR blaster. The front-facing camera has been moved all the way to the right as well.
Unfortunately, we don’t see a USB Type-C port in the renders – All we see is a MicroUSB 2 port.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 may get unveiled on February 21, about a week before the MWC. It could pack the Snapdragon 820 SoC, along with the latest Exynos processor by Samsung. It could also pack a pretty powerful camera.
Other rumors also point to a Edge variant of the S7 – Could be a S7 Edge. That’s all we know as of now, but we will get to see a lot more in the future. Stay tuned to Andro Dollar for the latest about the S7 and feel free to share the news with your friends who are waiting for the S7.
