One of the most hated things about the Apple App Store is the inability to refund something just by one click after you have purchased it. Apple instead wanted you to either mail the developer or send a support complaint to Apple, explaining why you want to refund the app. Google had the One Click solution on the Google Play Store for the longest time. All that has changed.
Apple has introduced a new 14-day, “No Questions Asked” refund window, not just for the App Store but also for purchases made on the iTunes Store as well as the iBooks Store. Unfortunately, this is only available in Europe right now according to the Source.
While the 14-day refund window is amazing for customers, one has to wonder how game developers might feel about this, considering you can play a game multiple times and refund it and get your money back. Hopefully, people won’t abuse the system. It’s also intresting to see what Google will do, whether they will also incrase the refund time period from 48 hours to something longer. Let’s wait and see.
