Looks like Windows 9 is going to be Unveiled at a Special Event at the End of September. The News Report comes by The Verge, claiming Microsoft will Hold a Special Event on the 30th of September.
The Next Version of Windows is code-named “Threshold” as we have reported earlier. The Preview will be released to the Developers like we have seen with Windows 8 earlier.
We are expected to see the Charms bar gone from Windows 9 as well as Virtual Desktops make a debut as we previously reported. We might also some other UI Element changes. We have also heard that Cortana will be built in to Windows, but it’s not clear if that will be made available as part of the Developer Preview.
Microsoft is also building a separate combined version of Windows RT and Windows Phone, and the company may take the time to detail this work during its press event. The Verge have also mentioned that the date might change, as nothing is confirmed yet, but the date is definetly going to be around that time frame.
