Well we’ve got some news for ya, Far Cry 4 is officially confirmed to be set in the Himalayas with perks like rideable elephants to help players get across the tricky mountainous terrain.
We’ve become used to Far Cry being set in sunny tropical beaches or the Savannah but this shift to a snowy clime could offer a dramatically different gameplay altogether.
Details on the game are few and far between at the moment but according to Eurogamer’s source a full reveal is expected during Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 in June, ahead of a release before the end of this financial year – March 2015.
FC4 is currently under developement for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Rumours say that it would return to the roots of the Far Cry series by reintroducing monsters of some sort.
The gameplay is expected to be like what we’ve seen in FC3 and Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag which will put you in a open world environment with outposts to be captured, hunting, and numerous side quests to be completed.
And if all this excitement isn’t enough for y’all the source also said to expect a surprise at this year’s E3, one to match and build on the positive receptions to Watch Dogs and The Division.
What do you guys think of the Himalayas as a location for FC4 ?
