Samsung’s Galaxy S5 is now official and now we get the first images of its accessories. We’ve still got a month to go before the GS5 hits retail (April 11th), so there’s a lot of time for news of such products to arrive between now and them, but today we get an early look at some of them, as a retailer publishes pictures of a number of GS5 case designs.
We’ve got a form-fitting hard case, the flip wallet cover, and two versions of the S View flip cover, both with and without support for wireless charging.
The first thing we notice is how large the windows are on these S View models, with the big, square cut-out we’re used to from the Note 3′s case, rather than the smaller rectangular window the GS4′s used.
We also see how these new flip cover designs are no longer cut to conform to the handset’s curves. Sure, the GS5 itself is quite a bit more squared-off than the GS4, and the right edge of these cases still offers a bit of a curve around the corners, but the left edge is now an uninterrupted straight line with right angle corners.
