Following on the Asus’s Chromebox announcement, HP has now officially unveiled their own Chromebox desktop computer, which it plans to release sometime this spring.
For the moment at least, not a lot is known about HP’s Chromebox series other than it is powered by a Haswell CPU and has HDMI, DisplayPort, Bluetooth and 4 USB 3.0 ports. We also know that it comes in four colors: Smoke Silver, Ocean Turquoise, Snow White and Twinkle Black.
If we had to take a guess, we’d imagine that the HP Chromebox will probably target a price range similar to the Asus series, which begins at $179 — though HP has yet to confirm this.
An exact release date has yet to be released for the new Asus Chromeboxes, but they are expected to ship sometime this March. What do you think, anyone interested in picking one of these up?
